Celebration Of Life - Trail Trek

Willits, United States • 27 Sep 2025

Event overview

The Celebration of Life - Trail Trek takes place on September 27, 2025 in Willits, California at the Brooktrails Par Course - Nutmeg Trail parking lot. The event is held in partnership with the North Coast Striders and is presented as an annual community trek in memory of an individual named in the event materials. The program includes a short trail run/walk, a trail half marathon, and Par Course loops. Entry prices include a 20 oz insulated water bottle.

Course and logistics

Routes use a mix of maintained surfaces (gravel and pavement) and mostly single- and double-track trails that are minimally maintained. Trails may have rocks, branches, and trees as obstacles; participants are advised to wear appropriate footwear, bring sunscreen, and be aware of poison oak and local wildlife. Three snack tables will be placed along the routes: one at the Par Course (which moves to the finish after the final half marathoner passes), a second at the Mike’s Trail / Mossy Rock Trail / Lilac Road intersection, and a third at the start to the Dutch Henry. Limited parking is available at the Par Course and Ohl Grove, with additional parking at the Brooktrails Community Center/Golf Course. Digital route maps and GPS files will be provided; these digitized files are not survey grade, so participants should follow on-trail markers and flagging.
