The course includes six aid stations located at Bird Knob, Catherine's Furnace, Morgan Run, Pitt Spring, Catherine's Furnace again, and Bird Knob again. Two of the aid stations are water only. Terrain varies across the route and includes steep and rocky climbs, forested singletrack, mossy creek beds, gravel and dirt service roads, and scenic overlooks. One long climbing section occurs on the Roaring Run Purple Trail; other notable sections include the Morgan Run hollow and the Orange Trail fire road. Wildlife may be encountered along the route.
Entry opens on June 18, 2026 and the field is limited to 75 runners; a wait list is used if needed. This event takes place in a remote setting and the organizing club does not provide on course medical personnel or medical supplies. Runners are responsible for their own health and safety.
