Carson Valley Trails Run the Valley 5k, 10k and Family 2k

The event at James Lee Park in Carson City offers three trail distances and uses recently developed Carson Valley Trails Association routes. Tech shirts are provided for all 5k and 10k finishers. Registration for the 5k and 10k before August 31 includes eligibility for a t shirt, and 2k participants can purchase a t shirt as an add on before August 31. Non CVTA members who register for the 5k receive a one year individual membership in the Carson Valley Trails Association.

Distances:

  • 10k run/walk: 6 mile loop beginning at James Lee Park, includes a 0.25 mile single track climb.
  • 5k run/walk: approximately 3.55 mile loop beginning at James Lee Park, includes a 0.25 mile single track climb.
  • 2k family run/walk: crushed granite path and single track; off road strollers and leashed dogs allowed.

The 2k is free and all children under 12 receive a kid's finisher medal. Race bib pick up is on site on race morning. Free parking is available in the lots at James Lee Memorial Park.
