Carrera de las Rosas is an inaugural community event held at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Des Plaines, Illinois. The event offers both in person and virtual participation and is organized by the National Coalition for Latinxs with Disabilities (CNLD). It emphasizes inclusion, accessibility, and cultural meaning.

Packet pick up is at the Pastoral Center and participants should enter through River Road. The Kids Run takes place at the entrance of the shrine by the arches. Registered participants receive an inaugural t shirt and a bib; in person finishers receive a medal and a rose. An inaugural gift is available while supplies last.
The event includes a ritual practice where finishers may lay their rose before Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe to honor a personal intention. There is also a virtual companion runner tradition that encourages participants to symbolically run alongside someone who cannot attend.
