Ceiriog Canter : Canolfan Ceiriog Centre

The Ceiriog Canter is a BM (B medium) fell race based at the Canolfan Ceiriog Centre in Glyn Ceiriog. The route covers 11.6 km (7.2 miles) with approximately 425 m (1,395 ft) of ascent and follows upland moorland and hill tracks typical of the Ceiriog valley. The event date is 26th September 2026.

Entry is on the day with registration from 1pm and an entry fee of £6 payable on the day. The minimum age for competitors is 18; there is no junior race. Map navigation is used on the course; a map will be provided to runners.

Organisers advise competitors to carry kit recommended by the WFRA, including windproof full body cover, other weather-appropriate clothing (for example waterproof full body cover, hat, gloves), a map, compass and whistle. Carrying this kit may be required if conditions are poor.

Course records are listed for both men and women: men 49:24 (2023) and women 58:44 (2023). Post-race facilities at the centre include fresh soup, homemade cakes, refreshments, showers and changing rooms.
