Cape Cod Trail Race
The Cape Cod Trail Race is an all-trail running event organized by the Falmouth Running Club. The competition takes place within the Frances A. Crane Wildlife Management Area in East Falmouth, Massachusetts. This natural setting serves as the backdrop for a multi-distance event that utilizes a repeating loop course.
Participants can choose from three distinct race distances based on the number of laps completed:
- 10K: A single lap around the designated trail course.
- 20K: Two laps around the trail course.
- 30K: Three laps around the trail course.
The event operates under specific timing and animal safety regulations. Runners must begin their final lap by 11:00 AM and all participants must complete their race by 1:00 PM. No pets are permitted on the course during the event. Registration is conducted in advance, as there is no option for race-day registration, and all entry fees are non-refundable.
The race provides a free buff to the first 200 registered participants. Additionally, the event supports environmental initiatives, including the Natural Heritage & Endangered Species Fund and the Massachusetts Outdoor Heritage Foundation. The Falmouth Running Club, which hosts the race, provides competitive and recreational opportunities for various ages and abilities. The venue is located at 754 Nathan Ellis Highway.
