Cape 5K and 10K
The Cape 5K and 10K is the first race of the Cobra Den Trail Series, held on the Tour De Wolf Trails in Shelby Farms Park near Cordova, TN. The event starts and finishes at the Tour de Wolf Pavilion and uses trails that are open to the public.
The course runs on dirt and grassy trails with some gravel road sections. Trails are mostly single track and generally flat with a few hills. The 10K route passes through a dog park area where dogs might be off leash. Mountain bikers, walkers, and other runners may be encountered on the trails.
Race logistics note that this is a cupless event so runners should bring their own cup or bottle. The 5K route has one water station at the halfway point and the 10K passes that station twice. Water stations will not offer food; food will be available at the finish. Porta potties will be at the start and finish and there is a nearby bathroom with running water. Road shoes are acceptable when trails are dry. The race is chip timed and bibs should be worn on the front.
The races are open to participants ages 5 and above with a parent or guardian signature; adult accompaniment is recommended for ages 5 to 10. Awards include top three male and female winners, age group awards, medals for all finishers, and one Cobra Den Series T shirt per runner. There are no refunds or roll over credits and shirts not picked up will be donated. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
