CamLynn Marathon and Ultra

The CamLynn Marathon and Ultra is a road and trail event that follows the Fens Way, running from Cambridge toward Ely and Kings Lynn. The route is described as flat and fast and uses local scout halls for start and intermediate points.

Options on the course include:

  • Marathon: Cambridge to 1st Ely Scouts Hut.
  • 50 Mile Ultra: Cambridge to Kings Lynn Lynnsport.
  • 50 Mile Pair Relay: 26 miles + 24 miles.
  • 50 Mile Trio Relay: 10 miles + 16 miles + 24 miles.
  • 100 Mile Ultra.

The event provides full GPS tracking, maps and GPX files, race bibs, first aid cover, generous aid stations and a bag drop. Participants may send their own drink to the final aid station. Finishers receive a medal and a country flag; free photos are provided and there is a communal finish atmosphere.

Age minimums apply by course: marathon 18+, 50 mile 21+, relays 18+, 100 mile 23+. Cutoffs are published for each distance, including a 6.5 hour marathon cutoff, a 14 hour 50 mile cutoff and a 32 hour 100 mile cutoff. Silsoe Stride on 28 June 2026 features scenic 5K and 10K races plus children’s runs at Wrest Park. The event is organised by village volunteers and community groups with profits shared among local beneficiaries.
