Event overview

The Bucks & Does 13.1 Pointer takes place on November 15, 2025, at Nashotah Park in Nashotah, WI. The event offers multiple distances including a half marathon, 10K, 5K, a kids Bambi Run, an early start option for half marathoners, and a 5K walk. Race timing is chip-based and managed by Silver Circle Sports Events, LLC. All finishers receive a custom finisher woodle; age group awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in 5-year age groups.

Course, facilities, and logistics

The course is primarily wood-chipped trails with a maintained grass section and more than 60% tree cover. Distances are approximate due to trail conditions. Course markings include 12x12" turn arrows, 3' tall signs, and cones.

  • 5K - 3.21 miles (1 inside lap)
  • 10K - 6.42 miles (2 inside laps)
  • Half Marathon - 13.03 miles (2 outside laps + 1 inside lap)

A single aid station provides water, sports drinks, and gels; the 5K passes it twice, the 10K four times, and the half marathon six times. The race is cupless; participants must bring a reusable cup or hydration system. Parking requires a $7 county park day pass or an annual pass purchased online. Race shirts are dry-wick and buck/doe themed; registering by noon on November 6 guarantees a custom shirt. A free hot chocolate bar is available at the finish. The Bambi Run is a free 1K for kids; participants receive a bib and finisher medal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
