Buck Ridge Burn Trail Races : Gardners, PA, April 12 - April 30, 2026

The event offers two participation options: an in-person race day at Pine Grove Furnace State Park (Furnace Stack Pavilion) and a "Run Any Trail" virtual option that accepts submitted results through April 30, 2026. In-person courses use trails in the Michaux State Forest and include natural features such as creek crossings, mud, roots, rocks, grassy double-track, and snaking single track. The half marathon course carries a 4 hour and 15 minute time limit.

Distances:

• Half Marathon - varied trail terrain with creek crossings and steep sections
• 10K+ - mixed double-track and single-track climbs and descents
• 5K-ish - rolling double-track, single-track, and creek crossings

Age and entry rules include reduced registration fees for minors (17 and under). The 5K is open broadly; the 10K+ is limited to ages 13 and older unless accompanied by an adult; the half marathon is limited to ages 16 and older unless accompanied by an adult. The in-person participant cap is 400 total: 190 Half Marathoners, 105 10Kers, and 105 5Kers. Registration closes March 22, 2026 or when races fill; no race-day registration will be accepted and waitlists are maintained.

Awards and swag: top three male, female, and non-binary finishers and top two in seven age categories receive handmade medals. All finishers receive a laser-etched finisher's coaster. Pre-race packet pickup is available at two local locations ahead of race day; virtual entrants receive their shirts by mail after the virtual period ends.
