BRRC Cross Country Series
The BRRC Cross Country Series is a set of four off-road races held in the Spokane area between September 6, 2026 and October 24, 2026. Each race is run on natural surfaces such as dirt, grass, turf, trails, or back roads rather than pavement.
Distances in the series:
- 5K at Audubon Park
- 12K on trails along Qualchan Bluff overlooking Qualchan Golf Course
- 5K at 7-Mile Airpark on a cross-country back road
- 5K on the cross country turf at Mead High School
Registration opens April 27, 2026. Registration closes for the individual events on the following dates: September 5, 2026 (Audubon), October 3, 2026 (Qualchan Bluff), October 17, 2026 (7-Mile Airpark), and October 23, 2026 (Mead). The standard registration fee is $20 per race. A $5 discount per race applies only when a participant registers for all four events; the discount does not apply if fewer events are registered or if registration occurs on race day.
The series includes a Running Club Challenge. Clubs indicate a team at registration; each race scores the top three finishers from each club and the club with the lowest combined time wins that race. At the end of the four races a team trophy is awarded for first place and trophies are also given for second through fourth place. Donations for the Qualchan Bluff event support Friends of the Bluff.
