Brookfield Classic

The Brookfield Classic is a running event held in Brookfield, New York. The races take place in the woods of the Charles E. Baker State Forest. Participants can choose one of three distances: a 5k, a 15k, or a 50k ultramarathon.

The 5k race is suitable for those new to trail running.

The 15k course follows a loop on truck trails and horse trails. It is family-friendly and can be walked or run.

The 50k ultramarathon also uses truck and horse trails, with over 4,600 feet of vertical gain. The course is split into three loops, allowing runners to refuel between laps or safely withdraw. A race volunteer records completion at the end of each loop. There is a nine-hour cutoff time for the 50k race.

Food is available at the event. A prize of $250 is offered for a new course record in the 50k, and another $250 prize for a new course record in the 15k. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
