Event overview
The Brookfield Classic takes place in Brookfield, New York, inside the Charles E. Baker State Forest. The event offers three distances:
- 50K
- 15K
- 5K
The 5K is a trail distance option. The 15K follows a 15 kilometer loop over a mix of truck trails and horse trails and can be walked or run. The 50K is an ultramarathon that covers roughly 50 kilometers and includes more than 4,600 feet of vertical gain.
Course structure, support and awards
The 50K course is arranged as three loops. Runners may refuel at the end of each lap and must ensure a race volunteer records their completion of each loop. The 50K has a 9 hour cutoff.
Fresh grilled food is available on site for participants; donations support the Brookfield Central School Senior Class. There is a $250 prize for a new course record in the 50K and a $250 prize for a new course record in the 15K. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
