Brookfield Classic
The Brookfield Classic is a trail running event held in Brookfield, New York, in the Charles E Baker State Forest near Brown Road, West Edmeston. Participants choose from three distances.

The 5K is presented as an entry level trail distance for those new to trail running or who prefer a short course. The 15K follows a loop that uses a mix of truck trails and horse trails; the organizer describes it as family friendly and suitable to walk or run. The 50K Ultra Marathon covers 50 kilometers on truck and horse trails with more than 4,600 feet of vertical gain. The 50K course is divided into three loops to allow refueling each lap and to provide exits if a participant chooses to stop. At the end of each loop a race volunteer must mark the participant as having completed the loop. The 50K has a nine hour cutoff.
On-site food consists of fresh grilled items provided for runners; donations support the Brookfield Central School Senior Class. Prize money of $250 is offered if a new course record is set in the 50K and the same amount is offered for a new course record in the 15K. Registration closes on Fri, Sep 18 at 11:59 PM ET.
