Brookfield Classic : Trail races in Brookfield, New York

The Brookfield Classic takes place in the Charles E Baker State Forest near Brown Road, West Edmeston, Brookfield, New York. The event offers three trail distances that run on a mix of truck trails and horse trails.

The 5k is presented as an entry distance for those new to trail running or for participants who enjoy the 5k distance. The 15k follows a single loop described as challenging and family friendly; it can be walked or run and is compared to a day hike or a competitive run. The 50K ultra marathon covers roughly 50 kilometers over three loops with more than 4,600 feet of vertical gain. The 50K course allows refueling at the end of each loop and requires a race volunteer to mark lap completion. The 50K has a 9 hour cutoff.

Event provisions include fresh grilled food on site, with donations supporting the Brookfield Central School Senior Class. Prize awards of $250 are offered if a new course record is set in the 50K and in the 15k. Registration closes on Fri, Sep 18 at 11:59 PM ET.
