Brookfield Classic
The Brookfield Classic is a trail running event in Brookfield, New York, held on September 19, 2026, in the Charles E Baker State Forest. The event offers three race distances that follow truck trails, horse trails, and singletrack around Woodland Pond and other forest areas.
- 5k Scenic trail around Woodland Pond.
- 15k A 15k loop on truck and horse trails, can be run or walked.
- 50k A 50k ultra on truck and horse trails, 3+ loops, 4,800+ feet vertical gain.
The 50k course is structured as multiple loops to allow refueling each lap and to permit safe withdrawal if needed. At the end of each loop participants must ensure a race volunteer has recorded their loop. A nine hour cutoff applies to the 50k.
Course access and logistics are described for attendees. Parking GPS coordinates are provided as 42.76563864242898, -75.3867952815479 with signs directing from the Giles Road and Brown Road intersection in West Edmeston. Two porta potties are located in the parking lot and one is located on Brown Road. Food will be available on site for participants. Trail running shoes or hiking boots are recommended and a change of shoes and socks is suggested. Registration fees listed are $25 for the 5k and $55 for the 15k and 50k.
