The Trailwagger at Gilbert Lake State Park
The Trailwagger is an October 2026 trail event presented in collaboration between Super Heroes Humane Society and The Clark Sports Center Events team. It takes place at Gilbert Lake State Park in Laurens, NY and uses the park trails and some paved park roads.
The event offers multiple divisions and distance options:
- 3 mile run or walk on paved roads and trails.
- 5 mile mostly on trails passing ponds and creeks.
- 8 mile combined distance by completing both the 5 mile and 3 mile.
- Two person team division with each partner choosing the 5 mile or 3 mile leg.
- Dog stroll around the lake; participating dogs receive a bandanna to match the event shirt.
Registration by September 29 includes an event shirt. A portion of event funds will support the Super Heroes Humane Society. Super Heroes Humane Society is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Oneonta, NY, mostly volunteer run, providing animal sheltering, a free pet food pantry, low cost spay and neuter services for cats, and crisis boarding.
