Participants may camp on the soccer field infield on a first-come, first-served basis; field lights will be turned on after nightfall. Registration closes on September 13, and participants who register by August 1 are guaranteed a hoodie and other goodies.
Race format, course and facilities
Each loop must be completed within one hour and loops start precisely one hour apart; warnings are given 3, 2, and 1 minute before the next loop. Competitors must be in the starting corral and must start each loop at the sounding of the bell. Except for restroom breaks, competitors may not leave the course until a loop is completed. No pacers or non-competitors are allowed on the course, and personal aid during a loop is not permitted while common aid stations are allowed. The winner is the last runner to complete a loop within the allotted time; all others are recorded as DNF and results list distance covered. The course is about 80% paved path/road, 10% crushed gravel, and 10% trail/grass, with approximately 175 feet of elevation change per loop. A 10' x 10' area is allowed per participant for crewing and tents. Unlimited water will be available; limited fruit, snacks, electrolyte supplements, and coffee will be provided.
