Brampton Trail Run 2027

The Brampton Trail Run takes place on the edge of Brampton, Cumbria. The event is a single-lap trail race of 7 kilometres on an undulating, mostly off-road route that may be muddy; trail shoes are recommended. The course is not suitable for wheelchairs.

The event has an entry limit of 250 places. Entries are offered as affiliated (£17.50) and unaffiliated (£19.50); assuming the event does not sell out, on-the-day entry may be available for an additional £2.50. Participants must be aged 16 or older on race day. The organiser is Fellside Events Ltd. The race is held under UK Athletics rules and a Trail Running Association permit is listed as pending.

Facilities at Race HQ (The Sands, Brampton, CA8 1EH) include water, toilets and baggage storage. There are no distance markers, no changing facilities and no showers. A mobile coffee van will be on site selling hot and cold drinks and cakes. All finishers receive a bespoke medal and free event photographs will be available to download. Gowbarrow Round is a 7.6 km fell race in the Lake District on Sat 20 Jun 2026. Entry is on the day only with a £5 fee and a minimum age of 16. The event is based at The Royal Hotel, Dockray, and carries FRA permit insurance.

An 8.8 km fell race near Haweswater in the Lake District with 244 m of climb, open to runners aged 16 and over. Entry is on the day for £5 and the race is part of the Bampton Village Sports Day and Fete.

A 50th anniversary fell race from Alston playing field to Park Fell and back, about 6.2 km with 211 m of ascent. Entry fees support the local mountain rescue team and the minimum age is 18.

A championship counter in Mungrisdale on 28 June 2026, the Blencathra Fell Race is an 'AM' course of 13K with 825m ascent where the classic route is enforced and navigation and mountain-craft skills are required.
