Boston Trail 1/2 Marathon and 5K Run/Walk

The event takes place on April 18, 2026 in Elizabeth Township and includes two distances:

  • 1/2 Marathon
  • 5K Run/Walk

Both courses use the Yough River Trail of the Great Allegheny Passage (GAP). The trail surface is crushed limestone and is described as flat and fast. Medals are awarded to finishers in both races; medals not claimed on race day will be discarded.

Pacers from Marathon Pacing will participate in the half marathon. The 5K run/walk provides an option for families and for participants who bring pets. The race is hosted by the Mon Yough Trail Council (MYTC) to raise funds for trail maintenance and upkeep. The MYTC is part of a network of all-volunteer trail councils that work along the GAP to keep the trail open and accessible.

Event location is listed as 1902 Donner Street, Elizabeth Township, PA. Special group pricing is available for high school or college teams and clubs. Online registration closes at midnight on April 16, 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
