Bluebell's Revenge Fell Race

Bluebell's Revenge is a fell race organized by Sinfin Running Club, held in the area of Belper. The event is a category BS race under Fell Runner's Association (FRA) licensing. The course is based on a previous race route but has been modified to include additional elevation and distance.

The designated race course covers a total of 8.9 km (5.5 miles) with a total ascent of 315 m (1033 ft). The route consists of two short initial loops followed by a longer figure-of-eight section around the Chevin. While the course is marked and staffed by marshals, participants must navigate some short sections of open roads where normal traffic rules apply.

The event features a participant limit of 125 runners, with a minimum age requirement of 18 years. Registration takes place at the Bluebell Inn in Farnah Green. While there is no mandatory kit list, runners are expected to wear shoes appropriate for fell terrain and grip.

General event rules include:

  • Standard FRA competition rules apply throughout the race.
  • The use of headphones, electronic navigation aids, and poles is prohibited.
  • The event operates as a "Bring Your Own Pins" (BYOP) and "Bring Your Own Bottle/Cup" (BYOB/C) race.
  • A mixed team prize is awarded to the top club featuring two male and two female finishers.
  • Dogs are not permitted to participate in the race.

Parking is available at the venue and within the village, though car sharing is encouraged to reduce the impact on local residents. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
