Blue Star Blitz

Event Overview

The Blue Star Blitz is an annual trail and adventure racing event held at the Anne Springs Close Greenway in Fort Mill, South Carolina. The event offers multiple race formats on a single day.

Event Format and Distances

Participants can choose from several events:

• 5K Trail Race
• 10K Trail Race
• 5K Hike Challenge (an untimed hike on the 5K course)
• Family Adventure Race (an untimed, short-course adventure race for families)
• 2-Hour Adventure Race (on foot, solo or in teams of 2-4)
• 4-Hour Adventure Race (on foot and mountain bike, solo or in teams of 2-4)

Course and Location

All events take place on the trails of the Anne Springs Close Greenway. The courses go through woodlands, rolling hills, and scenic trails. The Family Adventure Race stays close to the Lake Haigler entrance. The 4-Hour Adventure Race course is approximately 20 miles, combining trail running and mountain biking.

Awards

For the 5K and 10K trail races, the top three overall male and female finishers receive medals and prizes. Age group medals are awarded three places deep in categories from 19 & under to 70+. All participants in the Family Adventure Race receive a prize for each completed scorecard.

Schedule and Logistics

The event is scheduled for a Saturday in early March. An early packet pickup and bike drop-off for 4-hour adventure racers is available the Friday before the event. On race day, parking and packet pickup open at 7:00 AM, with different event start times staggered throughout the morning. The event concludes at 1:00 PM.

Registration

Registration is open online, with fees varying by event. A registration transfer policy is in place, but refunds are not provided unless a specific protection program was purchased.
