Blue Star Blitz at Anne Springs Close Greenway is a spring festival focused on outdoor recreation and trail racing. The event takes place at the Lake Haigler entrance in Fort Mill, South Carolina, and features multiple race formats on the Greenway trails.

Distances and formats include:

• 5K trail race
• 10K trail race
• 5K hiking challenge, untimed
• Family Adventure Race, untimed, scorecard based
• 2 hour Adventure Race solo or teams of 2 to 4, on foot, approximately 10 miles
• 4 hour Adventure Race solo or teams of 2 to 4, combining on foot and mountain bike, approximately 20 miles

Race procedures use maps and scorecards with pre-plotted checkpoints. Teams must stay within 100 feet of each other and racers under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Mandatory gear for adventure formats includes a hydration pack or water bottle, a map and compass, and a waterproof map bag; mountain bike and helmet are required for the 4 hour bike sections. Scoring ranks teams by checkpoints collected and ties are broken by faster time. Electronic navigation devices are prohibited during the races.

Awards include medals and prizes for top three overall male and female finishers in the 5K and 10K, plus medals given three places deep in age groups. Adventure races award first through third overall for solo and team categories. Events run rain or shine unless severe weather forces cancellation.
