The Black Toenail Friday event is a trail race scheduled for Friday November 27, 2026 at Cane Creek Mountains Natural Area - Pine Hill Trail Head, 5075 Bass Mountain Rd, Snow Camp, NC 27349. The event offers multiple entry types to accommodate on site and remote participation.

The course is described as well marked and maintained, with groomed single track, clear signage at turns, taped off incorrect paths, multiple aid stations, and a mix of smooth single track, moderate roots and rocks, and rolling climbs.

Registration includes a custom long-sleeved race shirt, post race food and drinks, live results, awards and a finisher medal. Participants may opt out of the race shirt and upgrade to a hoodie for an additional fee; a hoodie upgrade option is also available for registered participants for an additional fee specified by the organizer.

Refund and transfer policies are stated by the organizer: no refunds within 30 days of the event; earlier requests may be eligible for a 50 percent refund excluding processing fees; entries cannot be deferred to another year; entries may be transferred to another individual for a specified transfer fee and t shirt size changes are not allowed.
