Black Mountain Turkey Burner Trail Race
The Black Mountain Turkey Burner is a trail running event held at Black Mountain Ranch Park in San Diego, California. Taking place in late November, the event is positioned as part of the Endurance Race Series Sunshine Series and serves as a championship qualifier. The race utilizes the trail systems within the Black Mountain Community Park, featuring a mix of single track and dirt service roads.

The 13.1-mile course is described as technical and includes a significant climb to the top of Black Mountain, with an elevation gain of approximately 2,700 feet. This route includes four aid stations. The 10K and 5K courses involve less technical climbing on groomed dirt trails. The 10K route features about 962 feet of elevation gain and two aid stations, while the 5K route includes 672 feet of gain.
Registration for the event is limited to 300 runners due to park guidelines. All courses are out and back designs on 100% dirt terrain.
