Event Details

The Black Mountain Trail Races take place on the trails of Amat Kwanyil in San Diego, an area with historical significance as Kumeyaay land and the site of an abandoned arsenic mine. The landscape features chaparral, coastal sage scrub, and a mix of manzanita-lined single-track and jeep trails.

Race Distances

The event offers three race distances:

  • 50K with approximately 5,500 feet of elevation gain
  • 25K with approximately 2,500 feet of elevation gain
  • Half Marathon with approximately 2,000 feet of elevation gain
