The Black Annie Trail Race takes place on November 16, 2025 at Scales Lake Trails, 800 W. Tennyson Rd., Boonville, IN. The event page lists three race events:
- 5K Trail Run/Walk
- 10K Trail Run/Walk
- 15K Trail Run/Walk
Each loop around the course was originally described as approximately a 5K. Due to a washout on the original route, organizers state the current course measures about 3.35 miles per lap. Participants may complete one, two, or three laps.
Logistics and awards
Park entry requires a $3 fee; after entering, proceed to the swimming area on the left for the race location. Registration fees are tiered: $30 until September 15; $35 until October 31; $40 thereafter. A medal-only option is available at a $5 discount and selecting no shirt reduces the fee. Students 18 and under, current military, and veterans may use code BA5 for a $5 discount. A processing fee is added at checkout and organizers state all sales are final. Optional shirts are Tultex unisex and are guaranteed for orders placed by November 1; a finisher medal is provided to finishers.
Awards include overall places and the top two male and top two female in each distance across age groups. Timing is provided by To the Finish Timing. The race will proceed rain or shine unless weather conditions require a delay; if the course is deemed too muddy, participants will be notified.
