6th Annual Honor and Remember Run : Velpen, IN
The 6th Annual Honor and Remember Run is scheduled for Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Cool Springs, 9412 E St Rd 64, Velpen, IN 47590. The event was created to honor military veterans, their families, emergency personnel, and those who died on 9/11 and in the wars that followed.
The event program includes multiple participation options:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 10K Trail Run and Ruck Run
- Virtual Run
The 10K Ruck Run includes two sets of 22 honor pushups and pullups before and after the course to raise awareness of the statistic that 22 veterans die by suicide each day. All races start and finish at the same place. The event will provide awards and refreshments. Timing is provided by To The Finish Timing.
Registration details note that pre-registration by July 18 includes a t-shirt, and registration on July 19 or later does not include a t-shirt. Entry fees vary by event and by age category. Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Police Departments of Huntingburg, IN and Jasper, IN, to support community safety and to honor fallen service members and first responders.
