Birds of a Feather Trail Trot : overview
The Birds of a Feather Trail Trot is a Thanksgiving Day trail running event at Briar Chapel, Great Meadow Park, Chapel Hill, NC (161 Salt Cedar Lane). The event offers timed and untimed options for two distances and limits each timed race to 200 participants, with an overall event cap of 600. A charity partner, PORCH Briar Chapel, will collect donations for local food assistance; the race organizer will match 10% of funds collected. Chip timing is used for the timed races. Post-race provisions include aid stations, medical support, a race tee, professional photos, and post-race pie.

Both distances may be run or walked as timed races or untimed fun runs. Minimum age requirements apply for each distance, children under certain ages must run with a registered parent or guardian, strollers are permitted only on the 2 Mile fun run, and pets are not permitted.
