BigSea Trails (WATER)
BigSea is the second race in the Classic Element Trail Series, held on the Isle of Purbeck, Dorset. The event starts and finishes on the sand of Knoll Beach at Studland and uses four single-lap routes that pass locations such as The Purbeck Hills, Corfe Castle, Kimmeridge Bay, Chapmans Pool, Dancing Ledge, Durlston Castle and Old Harry Rocks.
The event offers four distances with set entry prices and specific cut-off times. Canicross entries are not accepted. A bag drop tent is available on the day. Runners are required to carry at least 500 ml of fluid; hydration vests and handheld soft flasks are permitted. Because the route is marked but arrows can be tampered with, runners are strongly advised to download the GPX file to a watch or mobile device and carry clothing suitable for changing weather.
Aid stations will be located on course (locations TBC) and will offer sweet and savoury snacks, vegan options, water and flat coke; the event operates without single-use cups. Precision Fuel & Hydration supplies PH 1000 electrolyte at aid stations, and runners can collect two PFH gels at registration. Classic Element Trail Series T-shirts are available by pre-order and can be collected at Event HQ.
