Bigfoot Running Company presents a multi-distance running event at Indian Springs Park in Waco, Texas, scheduled for July 26, 2026. The event includes in-person and virtual options and uses chip timing for several distances. All finishers receive a race shirt and a finisher medal. Aid stations are placed along the course and snacks and bottled water are available at the race rally tent. A DJ will provide music and announcements at the rally tent.
The course is held in park and green belt settings and may use mixed surfaces. Participants may encounter paved trails, crushed granite, and occasional dirt paths. Packet pickup is offered in the period before the event start. A shirt guarantee cutoff is set at ten days before the event; availability after that date is subject to remaining inventory.
Volunteer roles include water station attendants, course monitors, finish line helpers, packet pickup, floaters, lead bike, mascot, and a sweeper position. Volunteers arrive 1.5 hours before the start and some volunteer options earn race shirts, VIP access, or a future free race entry or a $20 prepaid digital gift card. The Volunteer then Run option is limited to the first 15 sign ups and includes a chip timed bib and race shirt.
Distances offered include:
- Kids Dash: about 50 meters; for ages 10 and under; not timed.
- 2 Mile: 2 miles; not chip timed; includes shirt and medal.
- 4 Mile: chip timed; includes age group awards and overall trophies.
- 8 Mile: chip timed; includes age group awards and overall trophies.
- Half Marathon 13.1 miles: chip timed; includes age group awards and overall trophies.
- Volunteer then Run 4 mi: volunteer hour then 4 miles; chip timed bib.
- Virtual Run: 13.1 miles virtual option; includes shirt and medal.
Standard awards for the 4 mile, 8 mile, and half marathon include overall trophies, masters recognition pins, and age group pins across categories from 10 and under through 70 and over. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
