Event details

The Day of the Dead Half Marathon - Oklahoma City is scheduled for Sunday, October 25, 2026, at Wheeler Park, 1120 S Western Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73108. The event is presented as a "Parks Edition" and the course runs through parks and green belts with mixed surfaces, including pavement, crushed granite, and occasional dirt paths. Aid stations are placed on the course to provide water and assistance. After the races, a rally tent will host a post-race celebration with live music and Mexican food and drinks. The organizer is Bigfoot Running Company.

A pre-race costume contest is held at the starting area. Costumes are judged by a panel and a prize package is awarded to the contest winner. Packet pickup is offered before the event. Volunteers can work as course monitors or aid station staff and receive shirts, souvenir medals (subject to availability), VIP access and a choice of a free future race entry or a $20 prepaid digital gift card.

Chip-timed events (5K, Quarter, Half) include overall trophies for 1st male and female, masters recognition, and standard age-group pins for multiple age brackets from 10 and under through 70+.
