Features and Atmosphere
Pre-race activities include a costume contest where participants can display creative attire, such as painted calavera faces and skeletal outfits, to compete for the Best Costume Award. The course is supported by aid stations providing hydration. Following the races, a celebration at the rally tent features live music, snacks, and Mexican treats.
Registered participants receive race swag including a t-shirt and a finisher medal. For the timed events, trophies are awarded to the first overall male and female finishers, alongside special recognition pins for masters and various age group categories. The event proceeds regardless of weather conditions, including rain, heat, or cold.
A unique Volunteer then Run category allows participants to assist with packet pickup and awards while still completing their chosen race distance with a timed bib. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
