Bigfoot Running Company presents an ocean-themed running event at Stars & Stripes Park in Oklahoma City. The event offers several on-course and event-day amenities including race tees, finisher medals for the 1 Mile, 5K and 10K, music at the start and finish areas, aid stations along the course, and chip timing for the 5K and 10K.
Races take place in park and greenbelt settings. Course terrain includes pavement, crushed granite, and some dirt paths. Events proceed regardless of weather. Packet pickup and volunteer check-in occur on race day; registrants who register at least ten days before the event are guaranteed a race shirt.
Awards are provided for 5K and 10K performances. Overall winners receive a Bigfoot trophy, first masters (40 and over) receive a recognition pin, and standard age group awards are given in Gold Silver and Bronze for age divisions that start at 10 and under and extend in typical multi-year bands through 70 plus.
Volunteer opportunities include a Volunteer then Run option for the 5K that allows participants to help and then run; this option is limited in quantity and includes a chip-timed bib a race tee and a finisher medal.
