The Running through the Decades Half Marathon - Houston takes place on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at Brazos River Park in Sugarland, TX. The event is hosted by Bigfoot Running Company and is the 1980s themed edition with a pre-race 1980s costume contest and a live DJ. Packet pickup is available on race morning. A virtual race option is offered.

Course, awards and volunteers

Courses use paved trails and park paths with possible mixed surfaces such as crushed granite or dirt. Aid stations with water will be available. All finishers receive a race medal and a shirt. Age-group awards are given from 10 and under through 70+ with Gold, Silver, and Bronze pins. First overall male and female receive a Bigfoot trophy; first Masters (40+) receive a special pin. Volunteer roles include water stations, course monitors, finish line helpers, packet pickup, lead bike, and a mascot role.
