Running Through the Decades - 1980s Edition takes place on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at Brazos River Park, 18427 SW Freeway, Sugarland, TX 77479. The event is hosted by Bigfoot Running Company and includes in-person and virtual options. The race features a pre-race costume contest with awards for best overall, best group, and most authentic 1980s outfit. A live DJ will play 1980s music and there will be on-site shirts, medals, snacks, and event photography.

  • Volunteer then Run 5K - 3.11 miles, limited to first 5 sign-ups.

All finishers receive a medal and a shirt. Awards include 1st overall male and female Bigfoot trophies, 1st Masters (40+) recognition pins, and age-group Gold/Silver/Bronze pins from 10 & under through 70+.

Course, services, and volunteers

Courses use paved trails and park paths with possible mixed surfaces such as crushed granite or dirt. Aid stations with water will be available. Packet pickup is offered before the races. Volunteer roles include water stations, course monitors, finish line helpers, sweepers, packet pickup, lead bike, and a Bigfoot mascot role. Full race volunteers receive a race shirt, VIP race access, and a choice of a free future race entry or a $20 Amazon digital gift card. Youth pricing applies for the 5K.
