Big Climb Dallas
Big Climb Dallas is a stair climbing event held at the Bank of America Plaza at 901 Main St. Participants ascend the floors of this iconic building to support blood cancer research and patient services for Blood Cancer United, formerly known as The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
The event includes specific points of reflection and recognition throughout the climb:
- On the 9th floor, a pause occurs to honor those lost to blood cancer.
- The finish, referred to as the victory flight, is where participants receive their finisher medals alongside survivors and caregivers.
Registration for the event is free until 30 days before the climb date. After this period, a $50 contribution is required. All adult participants commit to a minimum fundraising goal of $150. For youth participants between the ages of 8 and 17, the minimum fundraising requirement is $50.
Blood cancer survivors and those currently in treatment receive a commemorative shirt and specific recognition on the day of the event. Participants may take part through several registration options:
- Individual climbers
- Joining an existing team
- Creating a new team of friends, family, or coworkers
Fundraising milestones are rewarded with various items, such as the official event t-shirt at the $250 level or a Climb Master cap for those who exceed $1,000 in donations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
