Beyond the Call - Trail Challenge

Beyond the Call - Trail Challenge takes place on July 12, 2026 at Watkins Glen International in Watkins Glen, NY. The event uses trail terrain on the facility grounds and includes distinct short-course options.
Distances offered:
- 3 miles available as individual or three-person team relay
- 1.5 miles family-friendly trail course
The courses run over natural terrain with hills, streams, tunnels, and wooded sections. The 3 mile course can be contested by individual runners or by relay teams of three. In the team format each runner completes the full 3 mile course one at a time and returns to the start finish line to tag the next teammate at a designated exchange point. Team results are determined by all three runners completing the course and the hand offs.
Minimum ages are specified for each course: 13 years for the 3 mile event and 6 years for the 1.5 mile event. Registration fees listed for the date provided are $120 per team for the 3 Mile Team Challenge, $40 for the 3 Mile Individual Challenge, and $30 for the 1.5 Mile Family Friendly Challenge.
