Benfleet 15

Benfleet 15 is a 15 mile multi-terrain race held on 18 January 2026 at Hadleigh Country Park, Chapel Lane, Hadleigh, Essex. The course includes sections of the 2012 Olympic mountain bike course, the Canvey Island sea wall and Hadleigh Downs, and features muddy and slippery off-road surfaces. The route is not suitable for spikes or wheelchair competitors. The event will be chip timed and is being organised under UK competition rules with a UKA licence applied for. Included items listed by the organiser are a bespoke medal, free photographs after the event and prizes for leading runner categories. Event t-shirts and reusable cups are available.

Logistics and entry

Entries open on 01/10/2025 through the race organiser. On-the-day entries may be available at £35 (cash only, subject to availability). The race will operate without single-use disposable cups; runners must bring their own receptacle or purchase a reusable cup and keep it with them during the event. Car parking is limited; free parking has been arranged at nearby locations including The King John School, John Burrows Park, Castle Lane and Hadleigh Castle, with Hadleigh Country Park also an option. Traffic and parking along Chapel Lane and St John’s Road will be monitored by security. Deferrals and swaps are allowed until 16/01/2026; refunds or rollovers to 2027 are not permitted in cases of withdrawal or non-appearance.
