Benfleet 15 : Hadleigh Country Park

Benfleet 15 is a 15 mile multi-terrain trail race based at Hadleigh Country Park, Chapel Lane, Hadleigh, Essex. The course uses sections of the 2012 Olympic mountain bike circuit, the Canvey Island sea wall and Hadleigh Downs, and includes muddy and slippery off-road surfaces. The route is undulating and is not suitable for spikes or wheelchair competitors.

Route maps and downloadable GPX files are published for the event. The course offers elevated views across the Thames Estuary. The event includes a bespoke medal, free photographs issued after the race and prizes for leading runner categories. On-the-day entries are available subject to availability for £35 cash only.

The race operates a cupless water policy: water is supplied at stations but no disposable cups are provided. Competitors must bring their own receptacle or purchase a reusable cup (pre-order or cash on the day) and keep it with them throughout the event. Organisers request that participants do not change in the cafe or toilets and that footwear is worn at all times inside the cafe.

Parking at Hadleigh Country Park is pay and display. The Mountain Bike Hub has 320 spaces and there is additional free parking nearby, including approximately 100 spaces at The King John School, 115 spaces at Rectory Road Car Park and 100 spaces at John Burrows Car Park. Event information is sent to registered entrants prior to race day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
