Course and logistics

The course is multi-terrain and undulating, and includes sections of the 2012 Olympic mountain bike course, the Canvey Island sea wall, and the Hadleigh Downs. Parts of the route can be muddy and slippery; the course is not suitable for spikes or wheelchair competitors. The race will be cup-less; water will be provided but no disposable cups will be supplied. Runners must bring their own receptacle or purchase a reusable cup, which will be available for preorder or at the event. HQ parking is limited; the organiser has secured free parking at nearby locations and security will monitor traffic along Chapel Lane and St John’s Road. Runners are responsible for being fit to compete and should seek medical advice if needed. Deferrals and swaps are allowed up to 16/01/2026; refunds or rollovers to 2027 are not permitted for withdrawals or non-appearance. If the race is cancelled for reasons not deemed the club’s fault, entry fees will not be refunded. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
