Benfleet 15 : event details

Benfleet 15 takes place on 18 January 2026 at Hadleigh Country Park, Chapel Lane, Hadleigh, Essex, SS7 2PP. The race is organised by Benfleet Running Club and is open to entrants aged 18 and over on the event date. The course distance is 15 mile. The 2026 event will be chip timed and is being held under UK rules of competition - UKA licence applied for. Entry windows and prices are published by the race organiser; on-the-day entries are listed as cash only and subject to availability.

Course and race information

The route is a multi-terrain course incorporating sections of the 2012 Olympic mountain bike course, the Canvey Island sea wall, and the undulating Hadleigh Downs. It includes muddy and slippery off-road surfaces and is not suitable for spikes or wheelchair competitors. Detailed route maps and GPX files are available from the organiser. The race operates a cup-less policy: water will be supplied at stations but no disposable cups will be provided, so runners are required to carry their own receptacle or use a reusable cup available for purchase. Event t-shirts and reusable cups are offered by the organiser. Car parking at the park is limited and some nearby free parking locations are identified; parking and traffic will be monitored by security along Chapel Lane and St John’s Road. Deferrals and bib swaps have cut-off dates set by the organiser, and no refunds or rollovers to 2027 are allowed in case of withdrawal.
