Event Overview
The TFG Beer & Pudding Races is a trail running event scheduled for Sunday, 22 March 2026. The event starts and finishes at the Thornbridge Brewery Tap Room near Bakewell in the Peak District.
Course Details
Runners can choose between two waymarked trail courses:
- 7 km with approximately 100 m of ascent.
- 13.5 km with approximately 260 m of ascent.
Both routes offer scenic views of the Bakewell area and utilize paths like the Monsal Trail and the River Wye. The longer route includes an additional climb through woodland.
Event Format
The event uses a relaxed wave start system. Participants select a 10-minute start window during registration:
- Long course: between 09:00 and 10:00.
- Short course: between 10:00 and 10:30.
Post-Race
After finishing, runners can return to the Thornbridge Brewery Tap Room for an award-winning beer and a Bakewell pudding.
Additional Information
Participants must be 18 years or older. A portion of each entry fee supports local Peak District businesses and charities. The event is licensed by the Trail Running Association and held under UK Athletics rules. Kit requirements apply, with mandatory gear for the long course.
