The TFG Beer & Pudding Races : event overview

The TFG Beer & Pudding Races take place on 22 March 2026 at Thornbridge Brewery near Bakewell in the Peak District (DE45 1GS). The event is organised by Trails For Good and is held under UK Athletics rules with a licence from the Trail Running Association. The event uses fully waymarked trail courses and a small-group waved start approach to space runners on the trails. A proportion of entry fees is allocated to local businesses and charities connected with the Peak District. The finish is at the Thornbridge Brewery Tap Room, where participants are offered an award-winning beer and a Bakewell pudding.

Entries open 10 September 2025 and close 20 March 2026. There are 117 participants entered so far. Minimum age is 18 years. Entry fees are:

  • Affiliated - 13.5 km: £35.00; Unaffiliated - 13.5 km: £37.00.
  • Affiliated - 7 km: £25.00; Unaffiliated - 7 km: £27.00.

Trail runs nearby

Enjoy a scenic two day January Half Marathon and 10k on the traffic free Tissington Trail between Ashbourne and Buxton, with gentle climbs out and easy returns. Choose one day or both and earn a bespoke medal and free photos.

Tigger Tor is a classic winter fell race from Fox House on 25 January 2026, taking runners across Houndkirk, Burbage and Hathersage Moors in a 14.2 km course with 490 m of climb. Navigation and mandatory kit make it a true fell challenge.

The Totley AC Race Series will take place in Longshaw from Sunday 25 January 2026 to Sunday 6 September 2026.

Take on the Dovedale Big Daddy on 1 February 2026, an AL fell race in the Peak District covering 20.4 km with 1370 m ascent and nine steep climbs through the Manifold and Dovedale valleys. Entries close 29 January and are limited to 250.
