Beer Blazer 10 Mile, 6M & Fun Run
The Beer Blazer is a multi-terrain running event in Beer, East Devon, organised by members of Beer Primary School PTFA as a not-for-profit event to raise funds for the school. The event offers three distances and is based at Beer C of E Primary School, Mare Lane, Seaton EX12 3NB.
New routes for 2026 avoid the rocky fields at the start. The 10 mile route gains over 1600 ft of elevation and follows trails, fields, tracks, cliff tops and open common. The course crosses a pebble beach between Branscombe and Beer Head, passes areas described as Grizzly territory, traverses the Undercliffs and includes a steep stairway section with views of the Jurassic Coast.
The 6 mile route uses much of the same terrain but is shorter and has less vertical climb. There is a cut off for the 10 mile route at the 2 mile water station by Sea Shanty cafe; runners who miss this cut off will be directed back along the beach to complete the 6 mile course. Organisers expect the last finishers to arrive in under three hours.
Race headquarters are at the primary school car park and there will be a BBQ and refreshments on site. Entry periods and age limits apply: participants must be 17 or over for the 10 mile and 15 or over for the 6 mile; children under 11 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. The event is organised under ARC rules and a race permit is pending. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
