Event overview

The Beer Blazer takes place on Sunday 17th May 2026 at Beer C of E Primary School, Mare Lane, Seaton, EX12 3NB. The event is organised by members of the Beer Primary School PTFA. It is a not-for-profit multi-terrain running event held under ARC rules for multi-terrain events; the race permit number is TBC. Entries open 11 December 2025 and close 10 May 2026. Entries recorded so far: 16 participants.

Course and cut-off

The routes use fields, tracks, cliff tops, open common, the pebble beach between Branscombe and Beer Head, the Undercliffs and a steep stair section. The 10 mile route includes over 2000 ft of ascent and passes areas described as ‘Grizzly territory’. The 6 mile course covers much of the same terrain and is slightly shorter with less total ascent. There is a cut-off at the 2 mile water station (Sea Shanty cafe) of 30 minutes; runners who do not meet this cut-off will be directed back along the beach to complete the 6 mile route.

Race day details

Race headquarters are at the primary school at the bottom of the car park. BBQ and refreshments will be available on site. Prize categories include 1st–3rd male and female and 1st team for the 10 mile, 1st male and 1st female for the 6 mile, and finish mementoes for fun run participants. Age limits: 17+ for the 10 mile, 15+ for the 6 mile; under 11s must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
