Awesome 80s Summer Solstice Boardwalk Run presented by Moe Moon's

This event is an 80s themed boardwalk run and walk that takes place in Myrtle Beach on the boardwalk at Plyler Park. The on-course route begins on the boardwalk at Plyler Park, heads south toward the 2nd Avenue Pier, and returns to the boardwalk finish area. The in-person course is an out-and-back on the boardwalk.

The event is untimed and will not award overall or age group placings. A timing clock will be posted at the finish for reference. There is no water stop on the course. Animals and wheeled devices including baby joggers, strollers, skateboards, roller blades, and unauthorized bicycles are not permitted on the course and may result in disqualification.

Race participants receive race swag that may include a bib, a shirt while supplies last, and a participant medal. Event participants will be offered a hotdog, chips, and soda or water compliments of Moe Moon's. Participants in 80s attire are entered into a costume raffle. A virtual option is available; virtual participants do not need to submit results and race swag for virtual entries will be shipped within two weeks after the event.

Packet pickup is available at Native Sons and at Plyler Park. Registration is available online. The event partners with Help 4 Kids Backpack Buddies and lists suggested donation items for collection. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
