Austwick Amble Fell Race

The Austwick Amble Fell Race is a 13 km loop in the Yorkshire Dales National Park that passes through Crummockdale. The course gains 365 m of height and is described as well marked. The race takes place alongside the Austwick Street Market, a traditional village event with free entertainments, food stalls and other stalls.

The event includes senior and junior races. Seniors must be 18 years or older. Junior races are for younger competitors from age 8 and are organised into several age categories with the following distances:

Senior race: 13 km loop, 365 m climb
U10s: 2 km
U12s: 2.5 km
U14s: 3.2 km
U16s U18s U20s: 4.3 km

Entries open on 31 December 2025 and close on 19 May 2026. Entry fees are £8.00 for seniors and £3.00 for juniors. The entry list shows 55 participants at the time of listing.

Prizes include a £30 award for race winners and a £50 bonus for any senior runner who breaks the men's or women's course record. The listed course records are 48:25 for men and 55:59 for women.
