The 20th Ashtead 10k & 2k fun run takes place at The Scout Hut, Woodfield, Ashtead KT21 2RL. Organized by Ashtead Running Group (with Trionium), this charity race proceeds on rough tracks around Ashtead Common, a Site of Special Scientific Interest and National Nature Reserve known for decaying ancient trees and rare invertebrates, and housing two ancient Scheduled Monuments (a Roman villa and a triangular earthwork). The course is undulating, not flat, with options for a 10k or a 2k kids’ run. Earphones aren’t allowed. It’s billed as Britain’s greenest race, encouraging public transport and environmental stewardship, with proceeds supporting local charities.
