Arrowhead Half Marathon & 5K - August 22, 2026

The Arrowhead event is a pair of trail races held in Arrowhead, Colorado as part of the Vail Trail Running Series. The half marathon traverses Arrowhead, Bachelor Gulch, and Beaver Creek ski resort terrain, including Quiver Trail to the summit of Bachelor Gulch Mountain at 9,560 feet. The half marathon course for 2026 includes an additional half mile added to the first ascent. The half offers five aid station visits; the 5K has no aid stations but water is provided at the start and finish. Surfaces are primarily single track with some dirt and gravel road sections.

Race logistics include bib pickup and shuttle service organized from Berry Creek Middle School, with parking available at Berry Creek Middle School and Red Canyon High School. The half marathon finishes at Arrowhead Village Lawn where awards and prizes are presented. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in defined age groups for both distances. Post race amenities at the finish commonly include a race t-shirt distribution, food such as donuts and fruit, and complimentary sandwiches and beverages for eligible participants.
