Arrowhead Half Marathon & 5K : August 22, 2026

The event comprises two trail races held in the Arrowhead, Bachelor Gulch, and Beaver Creek ski resort areas. The courses use a mix of single track and dirt or gravel roads and include substantial elevation change on the half marathon route.

Distances

  • Half Marathon – 13.3 miles (21.4K), mostly single track
  • 5K – 5.6K (about 3.5 miles), mostly downhill

Course and terrain details include a half marathon high point near 9,560 feet and a low point near 7,431 feet, with about 2,844 feet of ascent and descent. The 5K reaches about 8,403 feet, with 223 feet of ascent and 937 feet of descent. Surface breakdowns are provided by the organizer (roughly 78–80% single track, remainder dirt or gravel). The half marathon course has an additional half mile added to the first ascent for 2026; the 5K course is subject to change for 2026.

Aid stations and support: the half marathon provides five aid station accesses (specific mile markers listed by the organizer) with water, Skratch hydration, and snacks. The 5K has no aid stations on course but water is available at the start and finish. The series is papercup-less; reusable hydration devices are encouraged.

Logistics and amenities: parking and race day bib pickup are at Berry Creek Middle School and Red Canyon High School, with organized shuttles to the start areas. Postrace provisions include t shirts, food from Northside Kitchen, sandwiches and chips at the finish, awards by age group, and a raffle for present participants.
