Course, logistics and rules

Courses use desert trails around Page Rim and nearby canyons. The half marathon follows smooth singletrack on the Page Rim Trail and is 13.3 miles. The 30K, 55K, and 50 mile courses are on technical sand trails and include landmarks such as Horseshoe Bend, Upper Antelope Canyon, Deer Canyon, Ligai Si Anii, and views toward Grand Staircase-Escalante and Bryce Canyon. Some ultra routes pass through slot canyons with ladders and cable systems; deep sand, ladder traversing, and rock hopping are noted on the course.

Aid stations are placed on each course and provide water, Gnarly Fuel2O, fresh fruit, soda, salty and sweet items, and portable bathrooms. Longer aid stations also stock salt and electrolyte caps, anti-chafing agent, sunscreen, and basic first aid. Drop bags are allowed for ultras and must meet labeling, size, and drop-off rules. Crew and pacer access is restricted by distance: no crew or pacers for the half and 30K; crew only for the 55K; crew and pacers allowed for the 50 mile. Runners must carry a working cell phone, a GPX-enabled device with the route, and headlamps where required. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
