Angeles Crest 100 Mile Endurance Run
Wrightwood, United States • 3 Oct 2026
Event overview
The Angeles Crest 100 Mile Endurance Run is a point-to-point ultramarathon held annually since 1986. The 36th edition is scheduled for October 3, 2026. The event covers approximately 100 miles across the San Gabriel Mountains, with cumulative elevation gain near 21,610 feet and course elevations ranging from about 1,135 to 9,300 feet. The route includes high alpine ridges, rocky high-country trails, deep canyons around Mt. Wilson, and the Mt. Wilson climb.
Course and 2026 changes
The course runs between Wrightwood and Altadena, finishing at Loma Alta Park in Altadena. For 2026 the route bypasses Chantry Flats due to trail damage and finishes via the Gabrielino and Kenyon/Devore trails to the top of Mt. Wilson, then proceeds to Idlehour, Sam Merrill, Millard and Loma Alta Park. The course has changed occasionally over the years for trail conditions, closures, and safety, but retains its point-to-point format.
