Event Overview
The Angeles Crest 100 Mile Endurance Run is a point-to-point trail race. The course runs from Wrightwood to Altadena, California. It is one of the original five 100-mile races in the United States and one of only six point-to-point 100-mile races.
The Course
The 100.2-mile course traverses the San Gabriel mountains, with elevations ranging from 1,135 to 9,300 feet. The route features approximately 21,610 feet of cumulative elevation gain, including steep climbs and rocky terrain. For the 2026 event, the course will bypass Chantry Flats due to trail damage and will finish in Altadena via the Kenyon/Devore Trail to the top of Mt. Wilson.
Race Details
The 36th annual event uses a lottery system for registration due to high demand. There are 210 spots available via the lottery. To qualify, runners must complete a 50+ mile race with results published online between January 1, 2025 and September 3, 2026. Trail work is also required by September 3, 2026.
