Adventure Fest at 18 Road

Adventure Fest is a weekend-long event held at the North Fruita Desert Trailhead in Fruita, Colorado. It offers camping, races, clinics, and activities.

Event Program

The festival runs from Friday evening through Sunday. Friday includes packet pickup at the Fruita Rec Center. Saturday features mountain bike races, a guided canyoneering trip for ages 8+, a women's gravel clinic, and kids' races. The day concludes with a bonfire awards ceremony, beer, and a glowstick night ride. On Sunday, a trail half marathon and a gravel bike race take place.

Races and Activities

The weekend includes several running and cycling events:

  • A 13.8-mile trail half marathon.
  • A gravel race (50K, 2,700' climb).
  • Two mountain bike races: a long course (50K, 3,400' climb) and a short course (22K).

There is also a canyoneering add-on activity in the Colorado National Monument, involving hiking, scrambling, and rappelling.

Two-Day Challenge

Athletes can take on a two-day endurance challenge called Fruita AF. Options include completing a mountain bike race on Saturday followed by either the gravel race or half marathon on Sunday. Finishers receive a special award.

Camping

Camping is available at reserved sites near the trailhead. Each site has a fire ring, concrete picnic table, a tent pad, and parking. Vault toilets are within walking distance.
