Absolution Run : St. Edward State Park, Kenmore, WA

Absolution Run is a trail running event at St. Edward State Park on the northeast shore of Lake Washington. The event offers two looped trail distances:

  • 4-mile
  • 8-mile

The course begins on a wide trail, moves onto twisting single track, and includes a stretch along the lakeshore with an uphill return. Four-mile runners complete one loop; eight-mile runners complete two loops. The aid station is located next to the finish and provides water, Skratch Labs electrolyte drink, and a variety of carbohydrate-rich and salty foods such as cookies, energy gels and bars, chips, bagels, and bananas. For eight-mile runners the aid station sits near the halfway point.

Parking is available in the park lots near the start and finish; a Discover Pass is required to park at St. Edward State Park (one-day and annual passes available). If park lots fill, an alternate parking area is available at Bastyr University’s northwest lot, which does not require a Discover Pass and is about a 0.4 mile 0.7 km walk to the event headquarters.

This event is the fifth race in the 2026-27 Winter Trail Series. Youth runners under 20 are eligible for a $10 discount on online pre-registration or event-day prices. Event apparel is offered for purchase at the event with stated prices for short sleeve, long sleeve, and hoodies. Trails remain open to other users; dogs are not allowed on the course under USATF policies. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
