Absolution Run (January 3, 2026)
Absolution Run takes place at St. Edward State Park in Kenmore, WA. It is part of the 2025-26 Winter Trail Series and is listed as the fifth event in that series. Distances offered:
- 4-mile
- 8-mile
Course and aid
The course starts on a wide trail, then follows swoopy, twisting single track. Runners reach the shoreline and follow a section along the water before climbing back up. The 4-mile option is one loop; the 8-mile option is two loops. The aid station sits next to the finish and is at about the halfway point for 8-mile runners. The aid station provides water, electrolyte drink, and a variety of carbohydrate or salty foods such as cookies, pieces of energy bar, gels, chews, chips, bagel, fruity candy, fig bars, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and bananas.
Parking, fees and series notes
There is abundant parking near the start/finish area; the closest lot is reserved for hotel staff, so park only in visitor spaces. If park lots fill, Bastyr University northwest lot may be used; that lot is about a 0.4 mile (0.7 km) walk to the event headquarters and does not require a Discover Pass. A Discover Pass is required to park at St. Edward State Park; a one-day pass is listed at $11.50 and an annual pass at $35. Runners under 20 years old are eligible for a $10 discount on online pre-registration or day-of prices. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
