Absolution Run at St. Edward State Park
Absolution Run is a trail event held at St. Edward State Park in Kenmore, Washington. The event offers two marked distances and is the fifth event in the 2026-27 Winter Trail Series.
- 4-mile
- 8-mile
Early in the course runners follow a wide trail that returns to twisting, swoopy singletrack. The route descends to the water and follows the shoreline before climbing back inland; 4 mile entrants complete one loop and 8 mile entrants complete two loops. The aid station sits next to the finish and provides water, an electrolyte drink, and a variety of carbohydrate or salty snacks such as cookies, energy bar pieces, gels, chews, chips, bagels, fruity candy, fig bars, and bananas.
There is abundant parking in the lots near the start and finish area, though the closest lot is reserved for hotel staff. If park lots fill, the Bastyr University northwest lot may be used; that lot is about a 0.4 mile 0.7 km walk with little elevation change to the event headquarters. A Discover Pass is required to park at St. Edward State Park; one day and annual pass options are available.
Youth runners under 20 are eligible for a ten dollar discount on online pre-registration or event day pricing. Dogs are not allowed on the course under the event USATF policies. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
