The Abominable Snow Race takes place on January 30, 2027 at Lake Geneva Ziplines & Adventures, N3232 County Road H, Lake Geneva, WI. It is a winter outdoor obstacle race offering a range of individual, youth, team, and virtual options for participants ages 4 and up.
Event distances and formats include:
- 5K | 15+ obstacles Fun Run, ages 10 and up
- 10K | 25+ obstacles Fun Run and Elite/AG Competitive, ages 15+ for Elite
- 20K | 50+ obstacles Yeti's Challenge, two 10K laps
- LiL Yetis 1/4–1/2 mile Kids course, ages 4–11
- Virtual race 3.1 miles with additional fitness challenges
- Team packs options for 5, 10, or 20 entries
Fun heats allow participants to skip obstacles without penalty and offer unlimited attempts at obstacles. The Elite/AG competitive division requires successful completion of all obstacles to be eligible for podium placement; overall top three male and female finishers receive cash prizes and podium awards. Kids on the LiL Yetis course receive a finisher shirt and medal; parents may accompany children on the course. Ages 10–14 in several Fun heats must be accompanied by an adult.
Racer amenities include a finisher shirt and medal for all racers; 20K entrants receive additional medals. Food trucks, craft beer, and hot chocolate will be available for purchase. Festival basecamp is outdoors with fire pits, seating, and vendors. Onsite bag drop is free and provided at the owner’s risk.
