Trail Running at Oakes Quarry Park

A Race to Remember takes place at Oakes Quarry Park in Fairborn, Ohio. The event utilizes the natural landscape of the area, featuring a course that traverses limestone cliffs and wooded trails. Participants run through rugged terrain that includes views of the quarry.

The event is held on Memorial Day and offers three distinct distances for participants to choose from:

  • 5k (3.1 miles)
  • 10k (6.2 miles)
  • 15k (9.3 miles)

The course is designed as a trail run, focusing on the natural environment of the park. Registration includes a short-sleeve race shirt for those who sign up by May 18th. Participants who register after this date do not receive a shirt, although registration remains open until the morning of the event.

All finishers across the three distances receive a medal upon completion of their race. Additionally, special awards are designated for the overall winners in the 5k, 10k, and 15k categories.
