  • Trail 4.17 miler
  • Trail 5k

The primary course is a 4.167 mile loop with about 450 feet of climbing. The loop is roughly two thirds technical single track, one third moderate walking or hiking path, and includes a few hundred yards of pavement. The 5k and 10k use a shortened version of the loop with an early u-turn.

Format options include a backyard style with regular hourly loop starts and a continuous format. Runners may switch from backyard to continuous status during the event; that switch is permanent for classification. There is no chip timing. Virtual participants may complete their efforts within the permitted window and must submit results by the posted deadline.

Event rules note that contestants provide their own aid, pacers are restricted in most cases, crew access is allowed, and race area spaces are allocated for equipment and small canopies. Open flame rules apply and glass containers are prohibited. Water and coffee are provided. Trails prohibit dogs, strollers, hiking poles, and headphones, and a carry light is required for running in low light conditions.

Prizes include entry options for onsite ultra winners, medals for shorter distances, collectible items for ultra finishers, and awards for virtual distance leaders. One prize per person, no transfers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
