5K9 Dog Jog

The 5K9 Dog Jog is organized by Vets To Vets United and is scheduled for September 26, 2026 at the Cross-Country Track at WakeMed Soccer Park, 940 E. Chatham St., Cary, North Carolina. The event supports the organization’s work rescuing dogs and serving veterans, with veterinarian services provided by partner veterinarians.

The course combines an open field and a natural trail experience and is open to participants with or without dogs who wish to run, jog, or walk. The event area will include product vendors, veteran organizations, a DJ playing music, snacks, water, and activities for dogs. Vendor and sponsorship opportunities are available; product vendor fee is $50 and each vendor is assigned a 10 by 10 foot plot. Tents, tables, chairs, electricity, or equipment are not provided.

Registration categories include runners and walkers, a Just 4 Fun option, and a Remote Virtual 5K. Runners and walkers receive a soft cotton shirt, water, and snacks. Published registration fees are: $40 early bird through June 30, 2026; $50 standard from July 1 to August 19, 2026; $60 late through September 26, 2026. The Just 4 Fun registration is $20 anytime. The Remote Virtual 5K registration is $40 and must be completed by September 25, 2026. Volunteers age 16 and above may register free.

Race awards include first through third place for men and women and special awards for the oldest and youngest finishers.
