5K Run for the Rescue : Jaffrey, NH

This event is a community 5K held on Union Street in Jaffrey, New Hampshire. There are two course options, both 5K in distance:

  • 5K: Woods Trail
  • 5K: Rail Trail only

The Woods Trail is a mixed cross country course with hard pack trails, wooded sections, mild hills, and possible mud on a mostly wide trail. The Rail Trail option is a straight out and back on the rail trail and is suitable for participants who prefer a smoother surface or who wish to push a stroller. Winners will be taken from the Woods Trail category. Timed results will be posted after the race.

All proceeds benefit the Jaffrey Firefighters Company, Inc., a volunteer fundraising and support organization for the Jaffrey Fire Department. The organization helps the department acquire items not covered by the town budget. The Jaffrey Fire Department includes a full-time Fire Chief and 20 on-call members, and provides fire prevention, suppression, rescue, EMS, public service, and education.

Registration opens May 8, 2026 and closes September 19, 2026. The listed registration fee for each 5K option is $20.00. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
