5K HOPstacle Run

The 5K HOPstacle Run takes place at Virgil Gibbons Heritage Park in Nibley, Utah. This festive event features several distances and race formats for participants to choose from:

  • 5 km
  • 1 mile (Rabbit Run)
  • Kids runs / HOPstacle courses

The 5 km course is a flat, hard-surface route with a shared start and finish location. For the main race, participants have the option to complete "HOPstacles" along the course. Completion of these optional obstacles earns individual entries into a prize drawing. The event is professionally timed using chip technology, with results posted following the completion of the race.

Participants in the 5 km receive a shirt, a race bag with free items, and a finisher bag containing recovery treats. Awards are presented to top runners in both male and female age divisions, as well as the top three finishers in an adaptive roll division.

Special prize categories are available for specific participant types, including those running with strollers, canine runners on a leash, and the "funnest pair" crossing the finish line together. Participants are encouraged to wear costumes, and judges evaluate finish-line performances such as jumps or dance moves for additional awards.
