50K.U.M

50K.U.M is a fully supported ultramarathon held on Michigan Technological University’s Tech Trails in Houghton, Michigan. The event offers two distances: 50K and 25K, with the 50K run over two loops of the same course. Runners traverse forested Keweenaw terrain, with aid stations at several points and mandatory check-ins at each aid encounter.

A headlamp is required at the start of the 50K. The route is neon-marked, with clear trail intersections and road crossings overseen by volunteers. Timing is via UltraSignup, pacers are not allowed, and drop bags and gear access are described for participants.
