12K's of Christmas Southern New Mexico

The 12k's of Christmas Southern New Mexico returns to Las Cruces for its 12th running. The event is a holiday-themed run and walk held at the south end of the La Llorona Multi-Use Path Trailhead, with entry from Calle de Norte Road. It was featured in Runner's World. The event is organized by Wanderlust Running, LLC.

All events are open to runners and walkers. The event is stroller- and pet-friendly; pets are welcome at all distances. Registration for the 12K and 6K includes a limited edition ornament/medal, custom socks, and a Santa hat. The first 50 registrations in the 12K and 6K will receive a commemorative Southern New Mexico event shirt. Awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers in the 12K and 6K, plus prizes for best-dressed human and best-dressed pet.

Packet pickup is available Friday, 12/12 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with race-day packet pickup and check-in at the south end La Llorona trail start/finish area. Online registration is required. Proceeds benefit local animal rescue; over the past 11 years the series reports helping more than 2,200 pets find homes and raising $100,000 for animal rescue.
